BackgroundEdit

The song was selected as 2NE1's debut single in March, 2011. However, the release was delayed as Japan was struck by the Tohoku earthquake. "Go Away" was eventually released later, after the first Japanese mini album Nolza, on November 16, 2011, as the lead single to the upcoming album, Collection.

CompositionEdit

The song was produced, arranged, and composed by Teddy from Kpop rap group 1TYM. The lyrics were co-written by Teddy, Shoko Fujibayashi, and Sunny Boy. The song is an uptempo track about break-up.
